The Fiesta Burger Murder by Rosie A. Point

This series is off to a great start; I loved this book!

Christie comes home to Sleepy Creek to visit a friend while

on sabbatical and gets more than she bargained for when a body turns up in her best friend's backyard. Christie gets drawn into helping her friend when a past history seems to tie in making it impossible for her to stay out of it even though she could lose her job.

I love the characters. Christie is strong and likable, and the true friendship that she and Grizzy share shines through; they accept each other and know when to back off when needed. The twin sisters had me laughing out loud; I love Missi. There is an interesting mix of characters that works well together.

The mystery had me guessing although I admit I figured it out before Christie, but loved the mix of stories between past and present.

There is the added bonus of some wonderful sounding recipes in the back; I have got to try this burger! I will be continuing on with this series and eagerly await the next.
